Sukhvinder Saggu
Sukhvinder Saggu, an Indian born artist, has been living in Australia (Canberra) since 2001.
His interest in drawing developed in high school while drawing physics experiment diagrams. Since then he has been drawing and painting objects and faces around him. Painting faces and photographing during his twenties where provided him financial support while perusing Engineering degree also improved his portrait painting, and photography skills. By 2000, when he left India, he had painted over 150 portraits for clients from around the globe, and received many prestigious awards and honours for his work both in India and Australia.
Mr Saggu, after moving to Australia, challenged himself to paint still life and flora using different mediums. He regularly participates in art exhibitions and competitions in Australia and overseas, and has received many awards and honours for his work.
Lot of his commissioned painting work, done after moving to Australia, is on the walls of many Australian homes. Some of his painting work has been featured in Splash18, International artist, and WaterColor artist magazines.
He has continued his interest in photographing everyday life, nature, events and functions. His knowledge of colour and composition as a painter give advantage to take an ordinary photo to a work of art.
Since retiring from his full time job (2019), he is spending more time in practicing art with the dream to produce quality art and photography work.
