Fine Art By Sukhvinder Saggu
Sukhvinder Saggu, an Indian-born, has been living in the Australian Capital Territory.
Sukhvinder's interest in art developed in high school while drawing science diagrams. Since then he has been drawing and painting simple objects, faces, figures, and nature around him. As a teen Sukhvinder drew and painted faces, especially of Bollywood actors from glossy magazines and film posters which improved his portrait painting skills. Portrait painting helped support Mr. Saggu financially when he was pursuing his Engineering degree. By 1997, when he left India, he had painted over 150 commissioned portraits for clients from around the globe and received many prestigious awards and honours.
After moving to Australia, Mr Saggu challenged himself to paint still life, Australian flora and fauna using different mediums. He regularly participates in art exhibitions and competitions in Australia and overseas and has received numerous awards and honours for his work, in India, Australia, and the USA. His artwork has been featured in the bookozine "Splash18", International Artist, WaterColor Artist, and American Art Collector magazines all published in the USA.
He continues to pursue his interest in photography, capturing everyday life, nature, events, and functions. His knowledge of colour and composition as a painter gives him an added advantage, helping him to transform ordinary photos into works of art.
Since retiring from his full-time job, Sukhvinder spending more time practicing his art with the dream of producing quality artwork.
